(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids has a new fire truck.
A push-in ceremony was held yesterday for a 107-foot ladder truck at Fire Station 3 near Crestwood Drive and Edgewood Road.
A push-in ceremony is exactly what it sounds like. It's a centuries old tradition of firefighters pushing a new fire truck into their station.
The ladder truck will be able to fight fires in buildings as tall as five stories high.
