Brickell, FL - A reported theft involving two luxury vehicles led to a late night crash in Brickell after police say the driver of a stolen Ferrari allegedly attempted to flee and struck a utility pole, briefly disrupting power to nearby residents.

Miami police said the crash occurred just after midnight Tuesday along Southwest 2nd Avenue between 12th and 13th streets.

Officers were responding to a report from a vehicle owner who said her stolen car was actively pinging to the Brickell area.

When police arrived, they observed an individual enter the Ferrari and drive away from the location, according to authorities.

Police stated that officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver allegedly fled, lost control, and collided with a police cruiser before crashing into a utility pole.

Video from the scene showed the dark colored Ferrari heavily damaged with its airbags deployed and the utility pole snapped in half.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud impact shortly before seeing the wrecked vehicle in the roadway.

Miami Beach police said the incident began earlier Monday around 5:30 p.m. when officers responded to a report of two missing luxury vehicles from a residence on North Meridian Avenue.

The vehicles were identified as a 2024 Ferrari Purosangue and a 2025 Rolls Royce Cullinan.

Investigators determined the cars had been released to a third party transportation company for delivery to another business but never arrived.

Authorities said the vehicle owner believes the cars were allegedly stolen while in transit.

The Rolls Royce Cullinan was later recovered elsewhere in Miami Dade County.

Police confirmed the Ferrari involved in the Brickell crash was the second missing vehicle.

Florida Power and Light reported that approximately 15 customers lost power as a result of the damaged utility pole.

Crews removed the broken pole and began repair work to restore service.

Police said the alleged driver was taken to the hospital for a minor laceration and charges are pending.

No other injuries were reported.
