Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy is joining a growing group of Republicans rejecting President Trump's comments related to the death of director Rob Reiner.
Reiner and his wife Michele were found murdered in their Los Angeles home over the weekend, and Trump has suggested that the acclaimed director died from what he termed "a mind crippling disease known as Trump derangement syndrome."
Kennedy told reporters he thinks "President Trump should have said nothing" when weighing in on the matter.
The post drew criticism from several Republicans including Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene as well as Congressmen Mike Lawler and Don Bacon.
