Job shopping season is here!

Job shopping … People are doing more than holiday shopping this time of year. They're also job shopping. As we get to the end of the year, a lot of Americans are quietly looking to change jobs in the near future. A new Robert Half survey says 38% of employed U.S. workers plan to look for a new job in the next six months — up from 27% last summer. The top reasons aren’t shocking: better benefits, more growth, more money, and straight-up burnout. The survey also found that most job seekers are bracing themselves for a long job search, saying the numbers of other job seekers, the challenge of finding the right workplace environment, and having the right skills for the job could slow down the process.

Scott's Thought:

  • If you think you have an opportunity, go for it! Staying at the same company to be loyal is often a bad idea. Would they be that loyal to you if they decide to make cuts to make more money? OF course not! The tyranny of the bottom line!
