38% of People Hide Their Personal Chocolate Stash During the Holidays
People take chocolate seriously this time of the year.
In a new survey, 33% of Americans admit they have cracked open a box of chocolates that was meant as a gift . . . and 23% have eaten candy from their kids' stockings before Christmas morning.
36% of Americans admit to stashing some "emergency chocolate" to help them get through holiday parties and family gatherings.
59% say chocolate is their go-to "self-care" during the stressful holiday season. And 38% rely on it so much that they'll HIDE their favorite chocolates from family members.
And 17% wait to eat it until "after everyone has fallen asleep."
