Bethany Dent-Reynolds, a 27-year-old probation officer, has admitted to having an illicit relationship with inmate Kieran Robinson at HMP Belmarsh, a top-security prison in southeast London. The prison houses some of Britain's most notorious criminals, including Southport killer Axel Rudakubana and Manchester bomb plotter Hashem Abedi.

Dent-Reynolds, from Forest Hill, southeast London, appeared at Woolwich Crown Court, where she admitted to misconduct in a public office. The charge specified that she engaged in an inappropriate relationship with Robinson between February 15 and May 3, 2024. She also faced accusations of attempting unauthorized access to computer data using the nDelius Record software, but she denied this charge, which was subsequently ordered to lie on file.

Another charge, alleging a romantic relationship with Robinson between March 1 and April 20, 2024, was dropped. Dent-Reynolds has been granted unconditional bail and is scheduled for sentencing on February 6 next year.
