(Johnston, IA) -- The names of the Iowa National Guardsmen killed in Syria are being released.
The victims are identified as 25-year old Edgar Torres Tovar of Grimes and 29-year old Nate Howard of Marshalltown, who died in the Saturday attack.
The Iowa National Guard says three other guardsmen were wounded. Two are in stable condition, the third is in good condition.
All of the guardsmen were part of the 1rst Squadron, 113th Calvary Regiment.
Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered flags in Iowa to be flown at half staff in honor of Torres Tovar and Howard.
