Last Tuesday evening at Union Station, 100 kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington walked into a surprise they never saw coming. Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was waiting for them with rows of brand-new bikes and helmets — gifts donated by the Commanders in partnership with Raising Cane’s.
Jayden moved through the crowd with genuine warmth, signing autographs and chatting with kids who looked at him like a real-life hero. Some were so starstruck they could barely speak; one boy vowed he’d never wash the hand Jayden shook.
This tradition of donating bikes is something Jayden began back at LSU and continues today.
And for these kids, it felt like Christmas arrived early — a night filled with excitement, big smiles, and the unforgettable feeling that someone truly cared.
