Holiday Tipping in 2025: Who Gets What

The holidays always bring up the same debate: who deserves a tip, and how much should you give? Even with “tipping fatigue” hitting hard this year, a new survey shows that holiday tipping is still going strong. The amounts may be a little lower, but the tradition of saying thanks hasn’t gone anywhere.

Who’s Getting Tipped This Year?

According to Bankrate’s survey, here’s the average amount Americans plan to spend:

  • Housekeeper: $50
  • Childcare provider: $48
  • Teacher: $25
  • Landscaper/gardener/snow remover: $50
  • Mail carrier: $20
  • Trash collector: $25
