Aah, yeah. We had to do at least one more ‘winning’ segment before the Jay Weber show ended next Tuesday. I had to get at least one more in…and a series of court decisions that all fell trump and the Gop’s way are a good reason to do so.
You might have heard about a few of these…but let’s start with a huge win against planned parenthood. This is a biggie- not only because of the decision itself, but because it was a strong three-zero decision from the appeals court panel of judges.
It’s another one of those lawsuits that i predicted Trump and republicans would prevail on, eventually, given that the lawsuit brought by planned parenthood was a ‘rage’ lawsuit: simply filed in a desperate act to lash out as their funding was being taken away.
This horrid Obama appointee was trying to act as the Pretorian guard. The protector at the gate for all leftists-and she was slapped down in every possible way. On every possible argument she had made in her lower court rulings to block this new law from taking effect
But hey… a duly elected congress passed it and a duly elected president signed it…and so… it’s legal and constitutional.
And so- Friday’s fantastic three-zero ruling -and from Biden appointed judges who knew they couldn’t stand in the way of the constitution-is a huge win for our side of the aisle.

The next win…is the supreme court rejecting a bid by leftists to overturn an appeals court decision that said Texas schools and public libraries can remove books that they find offensive to their community’s standards- and it’s not censorship or book banning.
This, too, was another court challenge that the left-wing activists should have known that they couldn’t ultimately win, but they have come to rely so, so heavily on the activist judges who sit on the federal and state courts that they bring the lawsuits, anyway.
This ‘win’ amounts to a left-wing loss by having the Supreme Court simply refuse to hear the case. This isn’t something that the supreme court justices decided to even waste time on.
And yes, this was another instance in which, in 2023, the woke bullies managed to find a district court judge who would agree with them…. only to lose in front of the fifth circuit court of appeals
Yes. Imagine getting all worked up about not having a local or school library having a certain book on the shelves- in this era. There are a dozen other ways to find that book…and in digital or electronic form.
If you really want your child to read ‘my drag queen daddy’... Or ‘pickle pulling for dummies...you can download it right to his or her tablet. And so, in this instance, having the supreme court make the commonsense decision-not- to intervene is another ‘win’ for the country and for common sense.

The next win is the much-ignored announcement last Thursday that the trump education department has ‘headed off’ and ‘stopped’ at least a billion dollars in student aid fraud since taking over and launching the doge effort.
And to be clear, this is fraud that is ‘separate’ and ‘apart’ from the sort of student aid fraud that the Biden regime was sanctioning and committing. The trump team has ended virtually all that sort of fraud, too, since re-aking office.
The way Biden and his team shifted student loan debt back onto the US taxpayers should have been illegal…but Linda McMahon and her team started to kill off that the moment they got into office
And just last week…the department cut a deal with the state of Missouri and officially killed off what was left of the ‘save plan’... Which is what Biden’s team called their stealing.
Apparently, Biden’s scam quote ‘benefitted’ seven million people who still had student loan debt and shifted at least some of it back onto we taxpayers.
But most of them will still have to repay the rest-to the federal government- because of this settlement agreement last week…
Presuming that agreement gets a ‘court approval’ that is still needed.
Folks. Ending a billion dollars in on-going foreign fraud and ending joe Biden’s intentional abuse of the taxpayers to try to buy the votes of young people by having us repay their debts- is another huge win for the American people.

Finally…i also want to draw your attention to a series of significant wins related to the national defense authorization act that passed the house last week. This NDAA includes a series of wins that the Trump administration asked for-related to our national security-
As well as wins that speaker Mike Johnson and house conservatives wanted to see included for our military members, as well.
It’s also another example of a significant win that Mike Johnson, as speaker, has racked up in the face of nearly never-ending criticism. I tell you: this guy has the smallest majority that any speaker of the last 50 years has ever had, I believe. It’s down to three votes now. That’s it.
He also has a very divided and grumbly caucus who has several snotty, nasty, difficult members in it who only ever want to seem to make trouble. And grandstand…and be social media stars…etc. And mike Johnson is still ‘getting it done’.
One reason I haven’t talked much about the sausage making process related to Obamacare that is going on is: I know Johnson and Thune will eventually get it done. They will have their causes decide on a play. And move it forward…and get the votes…etc.
It will get done. So why waste time on pre-game hysteria?
This national defense package is a good idea. There are all sorts of new wins here. And by the way-it passed with something like 85 or 90 democrat votes after democrats and some of his fellow members pitched fits and tried to stop it as long as they could. It ultimately passed
Four votes to spare in that procedural vote. Which is the one that includes all the drama. It’s the vote to ‘proceed with this legislation’... So, we can take a final vote on it.
Johnson only had three votes to spare when it came to the ‘let’s vote on this’ question…and then when he called the vote…. magically…100 democrats and Gop holdouts decided that…. Okay, it’s a decent bill, after all. We’ll vote in favor of more military spending. Munitions manufacturing, etc. Because we really need it.
I think it’s great that this is 8 billion more than the trump team even asked for- because we have lawmakers who can see the need. Let’s stop starving our military. Over the last fifty years…it has been the one place. Literally the ‘one place’ in our entire federal budget that democrats always seem to want to cut.
Defense spending is a tiny sliver of our overall federal budget…but the dems act like it’s gobbling up two thirds of it.
No. Their never-ending entitlements are the things that are gobbling up ⅔ of it. Military spending is somewhere between ten and thirteen percent of our federal budget in any given year. That’s it. And any time congress puts more money toward it-that’s a win.
