With temperatures in the Akron area forecast to reach only 20 degrees today, city leaders are taking steps to help residents stay warm.

The Summit Lake Community Center on West Crosier Street is open as a warming center from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Akron Emergency Overnight Warming Center on East Voris Street will be open tonight from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.
