A new “Grandma Stand” in McKinney, Texas, offers visitors a comforting place to talk with a local grandmother who provides warmth, guidance, and connection during the holidays.
The project, originating in New York and inspired by founder Mike Matthews’ own grandmother, has expanded to several cities with more cities planned.
Many visitors use the space to share personal stories or seek emotional support, and the city of McKinney plans to bring the stand back in the spring
