A record-breaking donation will fund a new scholarship at the Williams S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV.
The law school announced last Friday that Sean and Louella Claggett have pledged $300,000 through their charitable foundation. It's the largest donation from an individual law alumnus in the school's history.
The donation will establish the Claggett Family Endowed Scholarship, which will be specifically designed to support students in the Las Vegas community.
"As a proud alumnus, I'm honored to help ensure this terrific institution continues to open doors for the next generation of students, just as it did for me," said Sean Claggett.
The first recipient will be selected during the 2026-2027 academic year.
