Jasmine Crockett launched her campaign for John Cornyn's Senate Seat on Monday. The first poll to come out since she made it official is now out.
The Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center at Texas Southern University shows Crockett has an eight point lead over James Talarico amongst likely Democrat voters, 51 to 43%.
But it's not all good news for Crockett.
58% of likely Democratic primary voters believe Talarico would be the most successful in convincing regular Republican voters to cross over and vote for him in November 2026, compared to 29% who believe Crockett would be the most successful at this task.
The primary is set for March.
