(Fort Lauderdale, FL) - A precautionary water quality advisory is in effect for parts of Fort Lauderdale due to a sanitary sewer overflow from a manhole.
City officials asking residents to avoid water-related recreational activities in the Intracoastal Waterway south of the East Oakland Park Blvd bridge.
The advisory includes swimming, fishing, jet-skiing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, canoeing, or any other water-related activities.
Daily water sampling will dictate when the advisory is lifted.
The impacted area:
· North: E Oakland Park Blvd
· South: NE 27th Ave
· West: NE 30th Ave
· East: NE 33rd Ave
