Drivers in the Capital Region are experiencing a slight decrease in gas prices. According to AAA, the average cost for a gallon of regular fuel in the area is now $3.12, down by one cent from the previous week. However, this price remains four cents higher than what drivers were paying a month ago.
The state average currently stands at $3.11 per gallon, while the national average is $3.95. Prices vary across the region, with Vermont at $3.12, New Jersey at $2.97, and Delaware at $2.89. The District of Columbia reports higher prices at $3.19, while Connecticut's average is $3.05, as reported by AAA.
Despite the slight decrease, gas prices continue to be a concern for many drivers. The recent reduction comes as a welcome change, but it remains uncertain how long this trend will continue. For more information on gas prices in specific areas, AAA provides daily updates on their website.
