DC is asking able-bodied residents to join its volunteer snow shoveling program. The city requires all sidewalks to be cleared within eight hours after a snowfall. Senior and disabled residents can have trouble meeting that deadline, and the DC Volunteer Snow Program pairs those in need with those who are willing to help.
