Researchers say using appropriate emojis can improve relationships because they lead to stronger feelings of closeness and satisfaction. They found that both "face" emojis and non-face emojis (like hearts) are equally effective. The researchers concluded that adding emojis to text conversations can help improve interactions by signalling warmth and attentiveness.
