Seven candidates in the race for New Orleans mayor are officially qualified as of Wednesday evening.
The candidates so far include City Council members Helena Moreno and Oliver Thomas, former judge Arthur Hunter, and former 911 communications director Tyrell Morris.
Also in the running are Renada Collins, Frank Janusa, and Ricky Twiggs.
State Senator Royce Duplessis says he plans to qualify for the election soon, but he hadn't filed the paperwork as of Wednesday.
