The first Amtrak passenger train from Mobile, Alabama, to New Orleans on August 18 is already sold out.
The morning train will leave Mobile at 6:30 a.m. and reach New Orleans about a quarter after 10.
The first train headed the other direction, which leaves New Orleans at 7:35 a.m. the same day, is also sold out.
Amtrak passenger service is returning to the Gulf Coast for the first time since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
