(Earlham, IA) -- Two men were killed in an accident in Madison County on Thursday.
Iowa State Patrol says 55-year-old Kurtis Hanner of Stuart and his passenger, 56-year-old Rodney Jones of Casey were thrown from their car when it collided with another vehicle on Earlham Road about five miles north of 190th Street.
Both men died at the scene. An accident report says Hanner was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his car just before the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 63-year old woman, was taken to a Des Moines hospital with serious injuries.
