The City of Jenks has announced the cancellation of Boomfest 2025 after several operators from Hance Pyrotechnics were injured in the Tuskahoma fires. The fireworks show, originally scheduled for July 4, will not take place this weekend, and it is uncertain if it will be rescheduled at a later date.

Five people were injured in the fire at the Tuskahoma Capitol Grounds. The City of Jenks expressed disappointment over the cancellation but acknowledged the situation faced by Hance Pyrotechnics. "We ask the community to please send their best wishes to those injured," the city stated.

City officials say despite the cancellation of Boomfest, the Jenks Riverwalk, the Oklahoma Aquarium, and other local venues still offer opportunities for residents to celebrate the Fourth of July. .

Following the fire, the Choctaw Nation also canceled the Boom in the Valley event, which was scheduled for Thursday, July 3.
