According to TSA expert Shawna Malvini Redden, body sweat is “one of the weirdest things that can set off TSA scanners.” She says it has to do with “millimeter wave technology and how the waves bounce off water.” So, if you’re planning on flying, do what you can to minimize your excessive body sweat.
