RG&E and NYSEG have both filed with the state asking a rate hike for delivery of natural gas and electricity
RG&E wants state approval on a 22 percent increase per month for gas and 26 percent for electricity.
NYSEG is requesing a 33 percent a month hike for gas and 23.7 percent for elctricity
They have told the state that delivery systems are in need of upgrade.
No word on when the state will rule.
