Mariah Carey has just announced a brand-new album that promises to keep fans feeling “Dangerous.” The pop icon sat down with Apple Music to tease what’s next in her musical journey. “It’s a special occasion/ Mimi’s emancipation,” she quoted from one of her new tracks, hinting at a theme of freedom and celebration. While she’s keeping most of the details under wraps, she confirmed the album is officially finished and ready to make waves this summer.
Mariah did drop a few enticing hints, saying, “We got some Mariah ballads,” she shared, adding that a second single is on the way and it’s got a “very summery” vibe. “I like the beat as well,” she said with a smile, clearly excited about what’s to come.
Mariah Carey will make a big appearance at our iHeartRadio Music Festival coming up September 19th and 20th in Las Vegas.
