Armed woman in a folding chair caused a major traffic shutdown on I-4 after her vehicle crashed into an 18 Wheeler. she then exited her car, sat in a lawn chair, and pointed a gun at her head... for hours!!
Authorities responded with deputies, crisis negotiators, and a mental-health specialist. A family member was also brought in to help calm her.
The situation ended peacefully around 6:30 p.m. when she surrendered and was taken into custody without injury. Both northbound and southbound lanes remained closed for hours, causing significant backups.
