This past weekend me, my sister, my mom, and my niece all drove the 12 hours to Ohio to visit my 94 year old grandmother. This is an annual trip we've taken nearly every year for my entire life, so it's great to share it with my niece now, who is 2.5. It was very much a family vacation, with a lot of sitting on the deck and visiting.
Playing with an old woman's magnifying contraption.
Getting ice cream twice at Toft's Dairy (freakin delicious and an Ohio tradition).
Driving around The Land in the "truck" (my grandma's golf cart that my sister and I drove around all the time when we were kids).
Surveying "The Land."
We also hit up downtown Sandusky and the Merry Go Round Museum/Cedar Point Historical Museum.
Driving around "Vacationland" to see some sights and hear stories from my momma.
And we went to a petting zoo!
And the annual family portrait that we didn't get last year because I went in April and my niece went in June. So finally we got another one! I'm so blessed to spend quality time with my family, especially my grandmother who I love very very much.
