A total of eight people were reported hurt after a chase overnight that ended on Houston's near west side.
About 1:30 Sunday morning, Texas Department of Public Safety officers were chasing a vehicle driven by a man considered a crime suspect, when they were joined by Harris County Sheriff's deputies as the chase neared Downtown Houston.
That driver being chased suddenly crashed into two vehicles and came to a stop along West Grey at Waugh Drive
Several people in the two vehicles were injured and taken to hospitals, as was the driver being chased.
None of those injured face life-threatening injuries, one DPS officer said, and the man being chased is now in custody of law enforcement.
