No, Donald Trump did not kill off pride month

I love this, the growing blame being cast at President Trump for ruining pride month.

Folks-president trump didn’t ruin pride month: the bullying alphabet activists did. And the backlash against ‘alphabet bullying’ was well underway before president trump took office.

Moreover-Trump isn’t ‘anti-gay’ and neither he, nor his team, have done anything ‘specifically’ to harm pride month or the alphabet crowd.

And yes, I know they’d disagree with that: they’re screaming at the radio: he ended DEI, He ended trans girls’ in boys’ sports.

Okay.

But neither of those moves meant ‘pride month’ had to suck.... or companies needed to walk away from the alphabet movement that had been bullying them for decades.

If anything Trump’s efforts to end DEI only created the opening for businesses and major corporations to say ‘we are no longer participating’ in your pride circus.

Because that’s what happened.

The alphabet bullies had overplayed their hand long ago with their increasingly ‘bullying tone’. And then we hit the transgender mob-and things really got out of hand. They really started to offend the average American and the average parent.

Trump did not kill off pride month or even start the backlash.

Remember- Bud light decided to make Dylan Mulvaney the face of their brand back in March of 2023- nearly a year before president trump came back onto the scene.

The backlash to seeing a great American company-and brand- co-opted by the transbullies was finally ‘too much’ for the American people to ignore. Even those of us who grew up in the ‘live and let live’ era.

Then-as bud was failing.... target launched its most aggressive ‘pride month’ ever.... practically as a response to the backlash.

That’s the year we got the children’s pride clothing put on display at the front of the store-including the boy’s swimsuits that featured a pouch for those little boys who felt like girls to ‘tuck’ their genitalia.

Really?

And target execs thought this was a winner for them? Or were they blinded by their activism and their hatred for normal America?

Either way-the backlash was on- and America’s other major corporations were learning the lesson.  Trump’s involvement only came later-because he was smart enough to see a good campaign issue when he saw it-

And so, no, Donald Trump did not kill off pride month. The left’s rabid overreach did.

We went over this not long ago.  Probably two weeks ago- when these ‘pride month is dead’ stories started to appear...I said....

Gee, it turns out that...if companies can’t be bullied into participating in pride month or other ‘alphabet nonsense’.... They don’t have much interest in doing it.

What a shock.

Because that’s the clear take away from this year’s gay pride festivities. The organizers admit ... New laws and cultural blowback mean they can’t bully companies into paying for and promoting their events this year. And may never be able to, again.

I also rejected the characterization that this is a ‘backlash’ against LGBTIQQ or the movement.

It is- far more- a matter of people finally not having it shoved in their face and not being forced to participate... At work or school or social clubs...and being relieved. That’s all it is.

This is simply people- no longer being forced to participate. So, they aren’t.

I wouldn’t call it a backlash. I’d call it ‘being free of the leftist bullying’ for the first time in decades. That’s what I’d call it.

If you want to ‘get your pride on’.... go ahead. Just don’t force the rest of us to participate-or worse-force it onto our kids.

They’ll make their own choices in their own time.

Most of us have always said: do what you want to do in your bedroom.Just don’t force the rest of us to hear about it...or celebrate it...

But a ‘gay equality’ effort that started out demanding that very thing .... turned into.... By-God. Everyone’s got to be okay with this. Years later.

Everyone’s got to celebrate our choices...or our lifestyles.You ‘got to’ agree with them.

Well, that’s not even a reasonable request. Everyone’s got to be brainwashed into our dogma on this.... ah...no.  We don’t.

This is a free country-not a fascist one...and not one that’s being run by some ‘‘alphabet mafia’ or ‘gay theocracy’. 

Leave the jihads to the radical Muslims. We don’t need a rainbow jihad here in America. 

That’s the lesson the alphabet crowd-should-be learning from this year’s pathetic pride participation: maybe it’s time to admit you’ve won your ‘live and let live’ status...and just...go and live that....and understand it goes both ways.
