The Cleveland Guardians took down the Giants 3-2 in the series opener in San Francisco. Gabriel Arias led Cleveland at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Starting pitcher Slade Cecconi earned his second win after striking out six batters through five innings of two-run ball. Emmanuel Clase notched his 15th save as the Guardians improved to 36-and-35. Cleveland snapped a three-game skid and will try to win back-to-back games tonight.
