Cody Johnson Leads A Protest Against The Protests

If you were wondering which side of the "No Kings" debate your favorite country stars are on, some keep their political viewpoints private, some are fairly vocal, and then there's Cody Johnson. During his Saturday headlining appearance at "Tailgates N’ Tallboys" in Bloomington, Illinois,  Johnson made it quite clear where he stood. From the stage, Cody said, "On the news today, there were a lot of protests for one reason or another. All across the country, people were protesting something. But you know what I have? I have a microphone and 25-thousand Americans. So tonight, we are going to protest the protests. We’re gonna sing a song out of unity." After saying his peace, he led the crowd in an a cappella version of "God Bless America."
