Researchers have named him "Contender." A great white shark first tagged off the Georgia coast in January. He's more than 14 feet long and weighs more than 16 thousand pounds! Contender is now heading north. He is currently swimming off the coast of North Carolina heading toward Canada. Researchers with Ocearch say this is a common migration pattern. I guess we'll try to let you know when Contender is getting close to the Jersey Shore. By the way, did you know next Friday June 20th is the 50th anniversary of the release of "Jaws."
