Runoff Elections: New Mayor Elected in Sugar Land

There is a new Mayor in Sugar land following Saturday's runoff elections. Carol McCutcheon has secured the Sugar Land mayor seat—previously held by Joe Zimmerman, according to unofficial election results from Fort Bend County.

Early votes in the Pasadena mayoral race showing Thomas Schoenbein leading Rex Lindberg 53% to 47%, which indicates a closer race than earlier in the evening, when the results were more lopsided at Schoenbein with 57% and Lindberg with 43%

Also in Pasadena, Carlos Heredia with 56% leads Ruben Villareal with 44% in the City Council District A race.

In Pasadena City Council District B it's Bruce Leamon with 55% leading Bianca Villario at 44%.

In City Council District G, Johnny Fuselier has a big lead of 65% over Amy Hinjosa at 35%

And in Sugar Land, Carol McCutcheon is leading William Ferguson for the mayor's race at 53% to 47% as of 10 pm Saturday.

For the At Large Position One, Jim Vonderhaar has a strong lead over Maggy Horgan 59% to 41%.

And for District 2, Sanjay Singhal is leading Nassir Hussain by 75% to 25%
