As we prepare for the Tony Awards this weekend, the minds behind ‘Boop! The Musical’ are hoping for an eventful night as they have been nominated for three awards. In anticipation of the awards, they have decided to reward their fans with new ways to listen to the music. David Foster, 16-time Grammy award winner and composer for ‘Boop! The Musical,’ spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the play and an announcement about the cast album.

“People should go see the show because it’s light, it’s fun, it’s breezy,” Foster told host Larry Mendte. “And now today, June the 6th, finally the album came out.”

Foster also talked about the process of composing the music and collaborating with the director: “In my opinion I had to throw out my best song a couple of times for the sake of the show, but like I said [the director] had a vision, he saw it through to the end, and it’s brilliant.”
