Ellenville Stabbing Linked to Social Media Feud

A man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing another man in Ellenville. According to police, the incident occurred on Monday (June 2) near Warrant and Center Streets. The altercation began when a man reportedly punched 54-year-old Frederick Thompson, who then stabbed him multiple times in the arm.

Authorities believe the dispute started on social media and escalated into a physical confrontation. The man who was stabbed received treatment at a hospital and has been charged with assault. Meanwhile, Thompson is being held without bail due to previous felony convictions.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing as police work to gather more details about the events leading up to the stabbing. The community remains on alert as authorities continue to monitor the situation.
