Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says there's an ultra-processed food crisis in our country.
That was just part of his highly-anticipated "Make America Healthy Again," report -- a road map Kennedy believes federal agencies can use to reduce chronic childhood illnesses.
At the top of the list was a poor diet, with an estimated 70-percent of U.S. kids' calories coming from ultra-processed foods.
Other main points from the "MAHA" report include too many environmental chemicals in our food chain, lack of activity and chronic stress, and an over-prescription of medications for kids.
The report concludes the "U.S. must act decisively the reverse the childhood chronic disease crisis."
