A firefighter-paramedic says she heard Karen Read say, "I hit him," the night John O'Keefe was found dead.
In her murder retrial, Read is accused of killing her Boston cop boyfriend O'Keefe by hitting him with a car after a night of drinking in 2022.
On Monday, Katie McLaughlin testified she heard Read say "I hit him" three times.
The defense pointed out a nearby officer didn't hear it and claimed McLaughlin had a close relationship with the cop-owner of the home O'Keefe was found in front of.
Read's defense team claims she's the victim of a cover-up.
