Miami, FL - Formula 1 has officially extended its deal with the Miami Grand Prix, locking in the South Florida event through 2041.

The new 10-year agreement was announced Friday, solidifying Miami’s place as a long-term stop on the F1 calendar.

Originally launched in 2022 under a 10-year deal, the Miami Grand Prix has quickly become one of the sport’s premier American events.

Hosted at the Hard Rock Stadium campus in Miami Gardens, the race has drawn hundreds of thousands of fans and broken U.S. TV viewership records, including a reported 3.1 million viewers for last year’s broadcast.

Tom Garfinkel, managing partner of the Miami Grand Prix, called the extension a milestone moment, highlighting the community support and local partnerships that helped elevate the event’s profile.

F1 President Stefano Domenicali echoed that sentiment, calling Miami one of the “most spectacular” races on the calendar and a cornerstone of the sport’s U.S. growth strategy.

With three races now held annually in the United States, in Miami, Austin, and Las Vegas, the Miami Grand Prix stands out not just for its showmanship, but for its economic and cultural impact.

Organizers say the race has generated over $1 billion for the South Florida economy in its first three years, while also investing in local charities, small businesses, and internship programs.

The long-term commitment underscores Formula 1’s aggressive expansion in the U.S., with Miami positioned as a central player in the sport’s growing American footprint.
