Former Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo is considering running for president in 2028.
She acknowledged the possibility during a public conversation at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics.
However, Raimondo said if she believes another Democrat is better positioned to win, she will fully support that person.
She stepped down as governor to serve as Secretary of Commerce during the Biden administration.
