A State Supreme Court judge ruled the PAB can no longer investigate misconduct, issue subpoenas, recommend discipline, or publicly release findings.
The PAB was approved by voter referendum in 2019, but court rulings have chipped away at its power to probe alleged police misconduct.
It's not known if the PAB will appeal the ruling.
