A propane tank explosion may have caused a Monday afternoon house fire in Harwich.
Firefighters were called to Fernwood Circle at around 3:15 p.m. and found the fire spreading from the first floor of the home toward the attic.
Crews brought the fire under control in around a half-hour.
No one was in the home at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation
