Google looked at the top Easter candies we've been searching for in the lead-up to Easter Sunday. And it's PEEPS in most states . . . but that doesn't mean they're our favorite.
35 states have googled Peeps more than any other Easter candy this month. Gummy candies are next with five states. No other type of candy got more than two.
That doesn't mean we love Peeps though, or even like them. Plenty of those may have been HATE-searches.
If you DO like Peeps, we're not saying you're wrong. But they're definitely not AMERICA'S favorite Easter candy. Instacart did a list earlier this month of the most-purchased Easter candies, and Peeps didn't even crack the Top 10.
And a new survey from this week ALSO found Peeps aren't our favorite. Can you guess what the #1 candy is?
1. Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, with 26% of the vote. They also topped Instacart's most-purchased list.
2. Chocolate Easter bunnies, 13%.
3. Cadbury Creme Eggs, also 13%.
4. Jelly beans, 12%.
5. Robin Eggs, 9%. They're just Easter-themed Whoppers.
Peeps ranked sixth with 7% of the vote. So 1 in 14 people still love them the most.
