Authorities say the people on a capsized boat off the Treasure Coast came from the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office says that one survivor on the boat claimed the vessel left the Bahamas over a week ago and the boat flipped over Friday in the Atlantic, more than twenty miles off the St. Lucie Inlet.
Four people were rescued from the water by the Coast Guard, one died and five are still missing. Of the four who were rescued, three suffered non-life threatening injuries and one has serious injuries.
