Coffee Mate is surprised by the “White Lotus” twist.
It turns out that the brand’s collab with the show on a Pina Colada creamer was an easter egg.
Spoiler alert…
Timothy attempted to poison his family with piña coladas made with the poisonous seeds of a Thai fruit.
The next day, his son almost died from the leftovers.
As a reaction to that plotline, Coffee Mate posted a pic of the “White Lotus” flavor and captioned it “well this is awkward.”
The plot was kept tightly under wraps, so creator Mike White knew what he was doing in picking the flavor of Coffee Mate for the brand deal.
Bravo.
