Elton John opens up about his album with Brandi Carlile

Elton John recently sat down with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to discuss his decision to collaborate with Brandi Carlile on their new album, ‘Who Believes In Angels?.’ Elton revealed that he was adamant about not creating another solo album, saying, "I knew that I didn’t want to make the same album again…I wanted the album to move forward because I’m always trying to look forward." He even humorously added, "If I had just made another Elton John record, I would’ve killed myself."

Elton also showered Brandi Carlile with praise, emphasizing how crucial she was to the project. "I needed her, I needed her talent, her energy, her humor and her brilliant lyrics…When we got going, it was like, ‘Whoosh’, like an express train," he shared. His admiration for Carlile underscores the dynamic partnership that fueled the creation of Who Believes In Angels?.
