Uh, Guys, It's Mid-March: Lipton Nixes Its Peach Ice Tea . . . Then Says, "April Fools!"

If this is an early indication of this year's April Fools' Day . . . things aren't looking promising.

Two days ago, on March 18th, Lipton Ice Tea went on social media and announced that their peach ice tea was being discontinued. It was a little random, since it seems like one of the core flavors, and they didn't explain it.

They just said, "Maybe one day, Peach will make a legendary comeback. We appreciate your understanding during this period of adjustment and apologize for any inconvenience caused. #RIPeach."

One commenter said, "[Peach] is the only flavor people like. Why are you doing this??? Delete and pretend you were hacked."

Then yesterday, Lipton made another post . . . revealing that it was all an April Fools' Day gag and peach is "here to stay." Yes, April Fools in mid-March.

Lipton laughed about the "freak-out" in the comments, saying, "The way we had people mad at us too!" And added the crying face emoji.

If you DON'T know what to say about this . . . you're missing out.

Lipton said that they're going to comb through everyone's reactions to their early April Fools / fake announcement . . . and they'll be, quote, "sending a surprise to the biggest fans with the best reactions!"
