The Big Mac Guy Ate His 35,000th Burger on Saturday

If you could eat this much fast food and know you'd make it to 70, would you do it?

71-year-old Don Gorske of Wisconsin just hit another milestone. You might know him better by his nickname, the Big Mac Guy.

He had his first Big Mac in 1972 and loved it so much, he ate two more. Then he went back the same day and ate SIX more. So, NINE total, and he hasn't stopped.

He's averaged two Big Macs a day for 53 years. And he hit 35,000 on Saturday.  (!!!)

He did it at the same McDonald's in Fond du Lac where he bought the first Big Mac. Fans and media were there for it. He handed out commemorative buttons and coupons for a free value meal.

He's been open about having O.C.D. and says it's why he's so obsessed with them. He claims they make up at least 90% of his diet, so he walks six miles a day to make up for it.

He earned a Guinness World Record in 1999 after 15,000 Big Macs, and he takes his record very seriously. He claims he's saved every receipt, and every Big Mac CONTAINER.  (???)

He actually had to dial it back last week to make sure he hit 35,000 on the nose. In the three days leading up to it, he only had one Big Mac a day.

Congratulations on 35,000 Big Macs, Don . . . it's a miracle you're alive.
