Jury Selection Continues In Resentencing Of Convicted Cop Killer
(Cumberland County, PA) -- Jury selection continues this week in the resentencing case of a man convicted of killing a police officer in Cumberland County more than 30 years ago. Seifullah Abdul-Salaam once again faces the death penalty for fatally shooting New Cumberland Police Officer Willis J. Cole during a robbery at a coin shop. Abdul-Salaam was initially sentenced to death following his conviction in 1994, but a federal appeals court ordered resentencing in 2018. The trial is expected to begin once the jury is seated later this month.
