The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has ended as Israeli fighter jets launched airstrikes on the Gaza Strip after Hamas repeatedly rejected hostage deal offers. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office stated that Hamas rejected all mediation efforts, leaving Israel with no choice but to resume military action.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that strikes targeted Hamas' military infrastructure to achieve war objectives, including the release of all hostages. Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that if Hamas does not release the captives, Israel will intensify its military operations.
Hamas insists on a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in exchange for hostages, a condition Netanyahu has firmly rejected.
