Astros Player Props Ahead of 2025 MLB Season

The folks over at BetOnline have put out their AL West player projections, including many of your favorite Houston Astros players. Let's take a look at some of the odds.

Yordan Alvarez HR's - 33.5 over/under - Alvarez has gone over 33 homeruns twice in his career; he hit 37 in '22 and 35 in '24. If he can stay healthy for the majority of this season, which the team believes he will by not playing the outfield and being the every day DH, that could mean that Yordan Alvarez goes over 33.5 homeruns this season.

Jose Altuve Batting Average - .290 over/under - Altuve has batted .290 or better in 9 of his last 10 full-length big league seasons (he hit .277 in '21). Altuve batted .295 last year, but being 34 years old (he'll turn 35 in May), many expect his bat to start dipping. Still, if you're going with the odds, one would think that Altuve is a near lock to bat over .290, since he has done so for so much of his career.

Other Astros Over/Unders for 2025:

  • Christian Walker - 31.5 HR's
  • Isaac Paredes - 25.5 HR's
  • Jeremy Pena - 65.5 RBI
  • Yainer Diaz - 78.5 RBI
  • Framber Valdez - 3.25 ERA
  • Hunter Brown - 169.5 strikeouts
  • Josh Hader - 33.5 saves
